New England Lighthouse Lovers FALL TRIP
"The Other Side" of
Long Island Sound

Come join the New England Lighthouse Lovers (NELL) on their fall
cruise to see the lighthouses of the Long Island Sound and
Ambrose Lightship. The boat will leave from Liberty State Park
at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th and will be returning
at approximately 4:00 p.m. You must be at the boat no later than
8:15 a.m. This is the opposite of what we saw last year.
The lighthouses we will be seeing are as follows:
Blackwell’s Island, North Brother’s Island (remains), Throgs
Neck, Stepping Stone, Sands Point, Execution Rock, Cold Spring
Harbor (relocated to Centre Island), Huntington Harbor, Eatons
Neck, Great Captain (if possible) and Ambrose Lightship.
This boat trip will be limited to the first 100 people who send
their payment of $100.00 per person. Please make checks payable
to “NELL”.
As last year, we will utilize a waiting list if needed.
Non-members are encouraged to join and attend our fall meeting
on Sunday 9/13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden
Hotel. Single membership is $20, 2 adults in the same household
$30, and family (1 or 2 adults with children under 18) $40.
Membership runs from Jan. 1 thru Dec. 31. However, if you join
for and attend this event your membership will run thru December
2010. As a member, you will be able to attend all of our events,
such as the NELL Family Anniversary Picnic at Lighthouse Point
Park in CT and the very popular Lighthouses Hot Chocolate & You
(LHHC&Y) in January. Please send separate checks – one for dues
and another for the cruise, thank you.

There will be no food provided on the boat. Bring your own food
and
beverage (no alcohol permitted).
We will be staying at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Newark Airport,
NJ.

$89.00 per room, per night plus tax for Friday, 9/11, Saturday,
