New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge (2003)

Keith and I did the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge for the first time this past weekend (October 18th & 19th) and we were able to climb all 11 lights!  We started out on Saturday at 4:00 to head from NH to western NJ.  We started at Tinicum Light at 9:30, then went to Finn's Point, East Point and Cape May Lights before we took a break to drive around the Victorian town of Cape May.  We continued onto Hereford Inlet Lighthouse where we had the opportunity to take our new Jeep out onto the local beach!  It was our first chance to four wheel and it was beautiful.  We finished our day at Absecon where we met up with Tom and Arlene Pregman and the Kenworthy Family.  It was a mini NELL reunion.  On Sunday we started out fairly early at Tucker's Island then continued onto Barnegat, Sea Girt, Twin Lights (climbed both towers) and finally Sandy Hook!  All in all it was a perfect weekend.
