NELL is the "FIRST" Charter Member of the Maine Lighthouse Museum

I had called Dot Black to inquire about the membership and times for the opening events, and told her of the BOD's decision to become a charter member. She was delighted and spoke with Chuck Kruger of their board about our inclusion in the opening ceremonies. We will be presenting our $1,000 Light Keepers Charter Membership at the 5:00 PM Grand Opening Cocktail Reception on Friday, June 24 at the museum. All NELL members who wish to go will be allowed admittance at the door to this otherwise invitation only event. If you plan on attending, please dress appropriately.

Following the reception there is a meeting of the Friends of Rockland Breakwater Light at the library for dessert and coffee at which time there will be a PowerPoint presentation regarding the lighthouse restoration. We are invited to attend. :)

The Saturday ribbon cutting ceremony is at 10:00 AM at the museum. Tim Harrison is MC and NELL will once again be given recognition for this donation. If attending, please wear your yellow NELL club shirt for Saturday AM. :)

Virtually all of the Shore Village Museum artifacts have been moved to the new Gateway location and many will be on display.
