Subject: NELL Grant for FPHL

On behalf of the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, I'd like to express many, many, many thanks to NELL for the grant towards our painting the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse! Once details and timeline
are finalized, we'll be sure to let you know how things are progressing and would love to have a NELL visit to see the work for themselves! In such a dire and unforgiving economy, such generous support is welcome and helps keep our collective goals for lighthouse preservation attainable.

Thank you!

Ross Tracy, FPHL Chairman

Subject: NELL TOUR

All went well with the tour of Chatham Light this morning.  We had a total of 67 people, unless our counter failed along the way.  It was nice that most people came at the early part of the designated time so we had a smooth flow of visitors.  The last people arrived just before 11:00, so we were finished by 11:15.  A few people came from the Boston area and drove from there this morning.

With this audience, most of whom were from off-cape and mostly out of state, we spent quite a bit of the time describing the changing shoreline or waterscape, much of which could be seen even with the murky weather.

We were pleased to be involved.

Regards.

Dear Tom,

On behalf of Highland Museum & Lighthouse Inc., I would like to say thank you, to you and the members of the New England Lighthouse Lovers for your generous donation, which was presented to us last weekend. We enjoyed  sharing our beautiful lighthouse and it's history with the members of your organization. It is caring people, like the members of NELL, who will help to keep the lights burning for future generations.

Again, thank you.

Sincerely,
Francene Webster, Administrator
Cape Cod Highland Light
